Call to ban Grey's Anatomy in Italy

There has been a call from an Italian medical chemical group for the country's broadcasters to abstain from airing medical dramas such as 'Grey's Anatomy' because of inaccuracy.

Reuters reports that Annalisa Silvestro, President of the National Federation of Medical Colleges in Italy, said that as well as 'Grey's Anatomy', offending programmes included 'ER', 'House' and 'Scrubs'.

Silvestro aforementioned: "These programmes are teaching viewers inaccurate views on medicine. They are spread misinformation."

There has been no news on whether the state broadcaster RAI and Silvio Berlusconi's Mediaset be after to adapt their programing in response to the call.
